A Bit About Me
Hello, my name is Chris Cummings. I started Intertec Solutions in 2026 when I stepped away from my position as a lead service technician for a large tech/security company. Through my time in the industry I have worn many hats, from lead technician, to sales, customer service and even management and technical support. Throughout my career I have gained the experience and knowledge to confidently go out on my own to provide my customers with the best service and solutions to meet their business needs. I'll be honest...I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly of the industry and I take all the lessons I've learned during my long career to not only give you the truth, but offer you the systems and products that will work for you, and your business. I will always be upfront and consider myself a customer first company. I believe that companies, like mine are only as good as the customers they support and grow with. Without this kind of relationship, customers become a number rather than a name and a face. I pride myself on not only knowing my clients needs but actually knowing my clients. No business is too big or too small to have the service they deserve.
I work along side of other companies to help provide full infrastructure solutions. These companies, like mine are family owned and/or friends who provide their customers with excellent service and are very reputable in the industry. During this time I worked with well known network/data company servicing and installing IVR and voice mail cabling and infrastructure in the USA. I installed fiber optic cabling systems for pharmaceutical companies.
I was hired on as an installation technician with a reputable Network company in Toronto. We installed residential and commercial systems ranging from large fiber optic systems to residential alarm and central vac systems. We cabled the CN tower other large commercial facilities.
The previous company was bought by a large security company where i learned to install and service security and fire alarm panels. I also moved into a management role where i was in charge of 15 technicians. I was in charge of dispatching, settting up service and customer service and technical support for the techs and customers.

The previous company was again purchased by another large security company, where I continued my role as a senior service technician. Servicing and installing industry leading alarm, camera and access control systems.
Again, the company I worked for was purchased by a larger security company where I continued to service and install large commercial and industrial alarms, fire alarms, camera. access control and security systems.
The previous company was bought by an even larger company. I continued to service and install security, camera and access control systems. I began onsite sales and more tech support and face to face customer service.
2006- preset
During the years of working with multiple network and security companies I have sub-contracted with MultiCom Solutions where we serviced and installed large scale fiber optic and network systems. Starting off with voice and data cabling and moving into large camera and access control systems. In 2026, I decided it was time to go out on my own and use my expertise to start my own company. Working along side MultiCom Solutions we continue to establish solid and lasting customer relationships and help grow your business, providing you with network and security infrastructure you can trust and rely on.
